Inspired Mondays - Time Management

Updated: Aug 26, 2023

I know. Time Management...yawn. You’re probably comparing the word “time management” to a unicorn right now.....with wings.

Who doesn't need a good time management hack when almost everyone is operating under multiple roles? A student is also an employee, a mother is also an entrepreneur, an employee is also a volunteer worker and a head of household, and on and on and on.....

Lots to do right!  So, do you have enough time to do it all?

Yes. Yes you do.

Productivity isn’t about getting more done. It’s about what you get done.

•    PURGE:

Use a Weekly Planner to keep everything you need to do organized and within your reach.  Sticky notes won’t cut it. (Believe me, I've tried).  I rely mostly on the calendars and planners on my smart device and outlook. By the way, not getting everything done on your scheduled date is not failure. It’s an opportunity.

A. An opportunity to Re-evaluate the expectations you placed on yourself.

B. An opportunity to Reset.

•    PRIORITIZE:

Schedule your priorities and batch together projects.  This will limit distractions and keep you from procrastinating.  Select "no go" days and stick to them.  My "no go" day is a specific day or days in the week I choose to schedule NOTHING.

•    PROJECTS:

Instead of doing a thousand random tiny tasks throughout the day, create projects like “Emails” or “Manager Meeting” or “Party Planning” or “Home Budget Planning”.  This way you are able to put all your ideas, thoughts, and tasks in the right folder and set a time to accomplish it.

Like a well-organized closet.

What time management hacks are you currently using?

Have an inspired Monday!
